Equestrian Office Opens: 8.00am Saturday 27th October 2012.
Classes Commence: Breed classes and Show Jumping will start at 9.00am.
Leadline & First Ridden classes 11am - followed by Unofficial Pony.
Unofficial Hack Classes approx 1.00pm.
Entries Close: Tuesday 23rd October 2012. Late entries will be accepted for Breed and Ridden Classes but will incur a $10 late fee.

Entry Fee: $5.00 per horse – per event.
Ground Fee: $10.00 per horse
Stabling: There are yards available at the show grounds on a first come basis – No Reserving! If you secure a stable please park your vehicle outside in the adjacent carpark. Please pick up MANURE and place in the MANURE PILE.
Camping: Allowed, please indicate on entry form.
Insurance: Exhibitors (non riders) must be a current member of the EWA or the Katanning Equestrian Association in order to handle horses on grounds. All exhibitors are required to sign a “Member Release Waiver of Liability” (KEA & EFA members) or a “Non Member Application/entry form Release and Waiver of Liability” prior to riding.
KEA is a Gow Gates club.

SHOW CONDUCT
Judging will commence at 9.00am sharp. All breed classes will be judged first, followed by all ridden classes. Breed classes will NOT be held over. Exhibitors with dual registered exhibits enter classes in more than one section at their own risk. The KEA Committee reserves the right to cancel, alter and delete classes/program and also refuse entry to classes.
Random swabbing of exhibits for banned substances may be conducted during the show.
The exhibitor must be the legal owner or lessee of each horse listed by them on the entry form at the time of entry and on the date of showing.
All horses in each section must be registered with their respective Breed Societies. Certificates of registration must be made available on request. Breeding Year to be calculated from August 1st of each year.
Refunds may be issued if notification of withdrawal is received prior to the Show. A medical or veterinary certificate must be provided.
JUDGING
All breed exhibits will be judged in accordance with the standards of the relevant breed association. Appropriate breed, handler or riding attire appropriate for the class being shown, is to be worn when in the ring. The decision of the stewards, as to whether or not the handlers’ or rider’s attire is appropriate, shall be final. Partbreds are not permitted to enter Purebred or Studbook classes unless otherwise stated. Any horse, which in the opinion of the Judge or Stewards is not under proper control, will be removed from the arena. Any person showing cruelty to any horse will be ordered to leave the showground’s. Supreme Champion will be awarded for each breed section and the winner will be eligible for Supreme of Supreme Award. Horses placed second to Champion in their respective breed are eligible for judging Reserve Champion. Stallion handlers and riders are to be 18 years of age or older.
PROTESTS
Exhibitors are not to approach any judge without prior approval from the judge’s steward or the KEA Ground Committee. An exhibitor entering a protest must do so by lodging the protest, in writing, at the KEA Office within one hour of the completion of the event to which the protest relates, accompanied by a deposit of $25. The protest deposit will be refunded if the protest is upheld. The Ground Committee will consider the protest as soon as practical and will advise the exhibitor of its decision. The decision of the Ground Committee is final.
SAFETY
An approved riding helmet must be worn by all riders and smooth soled boots.
NO DOGS ALLOWED ON GROUNDS AT ANY TIME.
Ring A : Australian Riding Pony Stud Book, Welsh ABC & D, Part Bred Welsh, Show Hunter Pony, Unregistered Pony 14h and Under, Any other Registered Pony 14h and Under, Standardbred, Thoroughbred, Arabian, Arabian Derivatives, Show Hunter Horse.
Ring B : Stockhorse, Quarterhorse, Paints, Buckskin, Dilutes, Australian Warmbloods, Friesians, Fresian Warmbloods, Heavy Horse, Any Other Registered Horse 14h and Over, Unregistered Horse 14h and Over.
Ring C : Miniature Pony, Miniature Horse, Miniature Small Horse & Pony and Shetland Pony run seperatley on seperate form. *Please refer to the Pony Section *
